My Approach to Dog Grooming

Every dog is an individual, so I never rush and I never use a one-size-fits-all routine. Before I begin, I take time to say hello, let your dog get used to me and see how they are feeling that day. From there, I work at their pace, adapting my approach to their coat, their personality and their confidence. Because I am a mobile groomer, I only look after one dog at a time.

There is no busy salon floor, no noisy dryers running all around and no long wait in a cage.

That calm, one-to-one environment is especially helpful for anxious dogs, and it means I can notice small things, such as skin, coat and paw condition, that may be worth mentioning to you.

    My Qualifications and Experience

    I have invested in my training so that you can trust the care your dog receives. My qualifications are:

    • City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Dog Grooming
    • City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Animal Care
    • Canine First Aid Certified
    • Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare
    • Over 6 years grooming experience

    My training in canine behaviour and welfare is just as important as my grooming skills. It helps me to read a dog's body language, spot when they need a break and keep every session safe and positive. Combined with more than six years of hands-on experience, it means I am confident working with dogs of all temperaments, including rescues and dogs with more challenging behaviour.
